The Art of Memory II is the long-awaited follow up to the duo's original release on Derek Bailey's Incus label. This recording is a kind of prequel, going back, to the period when Frith was playing home-made instruments and Zorn was still using mouthpieces and duck-calls as well as alto sax. And this was in the white heat of the New York glory days when 100 new ideas popped up somewhere every day. A vintage document of, sheer energy and imagination.
