This recording brings together two string trios by Wolfgang von Schweinitz. The Plainsound String Trio 'KLANG auf Schön Berg La Monte Young' is entirely based on a 4-part chorale composed by A. Schoenberg in Los Angeles, here tuned in classical 5-limit just intonation, and the Plainsound String Trio 'Afshari', a study in non-tempered microtonal just intonation based on traditional Persian modes.
