Way It Was Back Then Dave Stewart

Dave Stewart, who is both a Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee, a winner of GRAMMY, BRIT, and Ivor Novello awards, and known as a singer, songwriter, musician, producer, musical innovator, and co-founder of the world-famous duo Eurythmics, returns with one of the most intimate and emotional albums of his remarkable career: The Way It Was Back Then.

With his vivid and present songwriting, Stewart takes the listener on a journey from the dizzying heights of international stardom to the challenges and tragedies of love, through moments marked by anger and grief, and on to glimpses of humor and hope. Together, the songs paint a fascinating portrait of a life lived to the fullest – both inside and outside the world of music.

As a masterful songwriter and producer whose work has helped shape popular music for more than four decades, Stewart presents an album that revolves around both universal and deeply personal themes.

The Way It Was Back Then unfolds as a series of vivid, cinematic scenes that move between childhood memories and the worries of adult life, hard-won resilience, love, loss, and reconciliation.
