‘Boom Boom Ultimate Animals 1963-1966’ is the most comprehensive retrospective release by The Animals ever.

Spread across eight CDs and one DVD, this impressive collection dives into the band's short but highly productive period from 1963 to 1966.

With over 150 tracks, the box set offers previously unreleased gems side by side with all of the band's studio recordings from 1963-1966, which are collected and remastered on one release for the first time.

The included DVD contains the long-lost documentary film The World Of The Animals, directed by Richard Mordaunt and filmed in 1965/66 during the band's tours in the USA and Poland. A unique historical snapshot and an absolute must-see for any Animals fan.

CD1 contains the band's self-titled debut album, The Animals, in a remastered edition, supplemented with singles that were not on the original album, the recordings from Graphic Sound, and three previously unreleased performances from Radio Luxembourg.

CD2 offers the band's second album, Animal Tracks, in a remastered edition with bonus tracks, while CD3 finally gives the third album, Animalisms, a long-awaited British reissue along with associated singles that have not previously been included on the album.

CD4 and CD5 mark the first official British release of the mono and stereo mixes of Animalism, respectively, which were never released by Decca in the UK due to the band's breakup at the end of 1966.

CD6 and CD7 dive into the band's legendary BBC sessions. With 59 tracks, all known, preserved BBC recordings are presented for the first time on an official, rights-cleared release.

CD8 collects a number of bonus recordings from Warner's archives, including instrumental backing tracks and early working versions of well-known songs.

In addition to the extensive music collection, the box set contains a wealth of rare memorabilia and photographs, including newspaper articles, advertisements, letters, posters, and concert flyers. The material has been provided by band member John Steel as well as Animals enthusiasts Kim Chester and Ashley Wood. The release is completed by extensive liner notes written by Animals biographer Sean Egan.
