Formed by chance around Mexico City-born Ric Lara and lockdown-era jam sessions with Gregoire Couvert and Enir Da, Deefait channel Fugazi's riffs, Boredoms' savagery and Gnod's inventiveness into a wailing, heliumcore-tagged noise-rock ritual. Mixed by Andy Blundell, their debut album pushes past their 2025 EP into a denser, more unified 35-minute descent, best experienced underwater.
