Fargo's success began when she signed with Dot Records in 1971. Her 1st #1 hit for Dot was "The Happiest Girl in the Whole U.S.A.". (it also won the Country Music Association's Award for 1972 Single of the Year). Her follow up was another #1 country record, "Funny Face" (which also hit #5 on the U.S. pop charts). After moving to the Warner Bros. Label in '77, she again hit #1 with "That Was Yesterday." Other featured cuts here include "Do I Love You (Yes in Every Way)," "Somebody Special," "Shame on Me" and "Mockingbird Hill."
