Zoot Sims and pianist Jimmy Rowles renewed an old musical and personal acquaintance on this album. Surprisingly, though they had played together many times, this was the first time they ever joined forces to make a record. The pair were joined by Sims' favorite rhythm team, bassist Bob Cranshaw and drummer Mickey Roker. The CD consists of old familiars and some real finds, like "Restless," which had originally been recorded in 1935 by Benny Goodman, eight years before a teenage Sims had started his 30 year career with Goodman. "Dream Dancing" is a long forgotten Cole Porter classic that Charlie Bourgeois had heard Teddi King sing at Newport the year before. A Neal Hefti instrumental, "Fred," is another, heard on a Fred Astaire TV special.
