30th-anniversary edition of De La Soul's classic 1996 album Stakes Is High featuring remastered sound, instrumental versions, remixes, and rare recordings. Among the highlights are "Stakes Is High (J Dilla Remix)" featuring Mos Def and Truth Enola, an alternative J Dilla remix, as well as the rare tracks "Chanel No. Fever" and "I Can't Call It".

When the album Stakes Is High was released in 1996, it marked De La Soul's fourth studio album and their first without producer Prince Paul. The result was a rawer and more minimalist sound, with the young J Dilla leaving a significant mark on the title track. The single became one of the group's most iconic releases, reaching number 53 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, while the album peaked at number 4 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.
