Coyote vs. Acme brings the beloved Looney Tunes characters back in a vibrant comedy that combines classic cartoon chaos with live-action, satire, and plenty of slapstick humor. The film is directed by Dave Green and stars Will Forte, John Cena, and Lana Condor alongside the perpetually unlucky Wile E. Coyote.

After decades of failed attempts to catch the lightning-fast Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote has finally had enough. Time and again, his elaborate traps have ended in explosions, falling anvils, and catastrophic accidents, and the one thing they all have in common is that the equipment comes from the same manufacturer: Acme Corporation. Now, Coyote decides to take on the company and sue it for its deadly and unreliable products.

With the help of down-on-his-luck lawyer Kevin Avery (Will Forte), Coyote dives into a wild lawsuit against the powerful corporation, represented by the unscrupulous lawyer Buddy Crane (John Cena). The mismatched duo must fight against both legal hurdles and Acme's vast resources in a story where classic Looney Tunes humor meets a satirical tale about greedy corporations and the little guy's fight against the system.

The film also has a quite unusual history behind it. Although it was originally completed, Warner Bros. decided to shelve the release in 2023. After extensive criticism and a lengthy rescue mission, the film was acquired by Ketchup Entertainment, which finally released it in theaters in 2026.

Coyote vs. Acme has received a highly positive reception from both critics and audiences. The film has been particularly praised for its inventive humor, faithfulness to the original Looney Tunes cartoons, and surprisingly heartwarming story. With 96% positive critic reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, it has developed into a triumphant return for some of animation history's most iconic characters.
