Romantic television miniseries based on the original fairy tale 'Beauty and the Beast' by Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve. When a sea merchant loses all of his wealth, he promises the wealthy Prince Leon (Alessandro Preziosi) that one of his daughters will arrive at his castle to live with him, in return for clearing his debts.
