Sheryl Crow | Pick You Up
Sheryl Crow states about her album Pick You Up: "Each of these songs is a commentary on what it means to be human and to long for connection. There is so much chaos around us, and I certainly experience feeling alone myself. My wish is that everyone who hears these songs feels the hope that I feel myself when I sing them! I hope the songs feel like a soothing cream on our cracked hearts. We are all going through so much as humans right now that just being present can feel like fighting your way through a burning desert. But we are never alone. And beauty exists everywhere. We just need to keep our eyes open."
"These days I often turn to songwriting to try and understand what is happening both inside me and around me. There is so much chaos, but also plenty of hope and love to share. All these songs sprung from the experience of living right now. There is so much chaos and so much information flooding in on us that it can feel overwhelming and paralyzing. My hope is that when you hear these songs, you feel that this is just a moment in time, and that life is a beautiful gift worth sharing."
The album was produced by Sheryl Crow and Jeff Trott, who also co-wrote all the songs.
