Neither Mallory nor Jordan want to give up on their relationship. They agree to see each other in an attempt to restore what they once had. Mallory knows Jordan would marry her in a heartbeat, but she isn't sure she wants another marriage. She enjoys what they have and is unwilling to relinquish her independence. Mallory has learned that her mother is alive and she has family she never knew existed. The bogus ministry that has plagued Prairie Hill has sold its property.
