Fixed Assets

Fixed Assets is a fast paced thriller based in San Francisco in the early 1990's. The story revolves around 2 main characters, Detective Tigue, a newly minted homicide detective and the first woman to have this position in the history of the San Francisco Police Department, and Emily Sung, the sister of the freshman medical student, Jeffery Sung, found hanging over the dissection tables in the anatomy department of North Pacific University Medical School. Everything on the surface seems to point to a troubled student in academic jeopardy who took his own life. Tigue's superiors and the university president as well as influential board members want this settled immediately. After reviewing all available facts and interviewing Emily Sung, who assures Tigue that her brother possessed a genius level IQ and a work ethic to match it, Tigue refuses to rubber stamp what everyone seems to feel is fact and thereby hangs the rest of the tale.
