Garden coffee production system is in an increasing trend in the study area causing a negative impact ultimately on the conservation of the forest and the coffee in it. In addition to the dynamic nature of the coffee production system itself largely affected by land tenure and land use system, population dynamics, the need for economic satisfaction (productivity), relative distance that eases management, safety issues and tragedy of communal ownership in some instances were identified as important factors.
