Three army friends help establish the town of Wolves' Hollow in the Idaho wilderness. The first part of the story ends in 1896. Over a hundred years later, the story continues with a number of murders taking place. Rif, a female sheriff, with the help of a reporter and a handyman begin the search for the killers.
