The Fauna and Flora of Distanced Lands
Pavel Nevulski
In 2020 - a Plague Year - a time when many of the trappings of civilisation suddenly disappear and the dangers lying just beneath the surface of ordinary life are suddenly exposed - the intrepid and not entirely rational explorer 'PWN' side-steps the grim reality and sets out to explore the Distanced Land so suddenly revealed.
In a series of comical 'He-males' he relates his misunderstandings of what he encounters in the landscape of social-isolation, lock-down and shielding, as he ventures forth like a modern-day David Livingstone but one without his missionary zeal, or - let's face it - his intelligence.
The familiar has become unfamiliar. He draws false conclusions about the people and things he encounters in the local New Normal world until, at the end of one hundred days, his tale comes to a dramatic conclusion complete with Aliens, a Romantic Twist and a Monarchic intervention, lucky or unlucky, depending on your point of view....
"Pavel Nevulski' is best viewed through the sights of a police marksman's rifle" - the late John Peel
