Michael didn't want to go on the weekend trip with his mom and stepfather to their cabin deep in the Drakensberg mountains in Kwazulu-Natal. He didn't want to spend time with his stepfather, and he definitely didn't want to sort out their differences. He just wanted to stay home and be left alone. But the quiet hurt in his mother's eyes left him no choice but to go with them into the mountains. And then the rain started. When they tried to leave the mountains, they found out that it was too late, and Michael and his family found themselves caught in a nightmare from which there seemed no escape. During his battle to save his family from a horrible death, Michael was confronted with all his fears and forced to delve deep inside his spirit to find the strength to carry on when every part of him wanted to give up.
