Contributor Bio: Vaughan, Marcia When Marcia Vaughan was a young girl, she loved telling wild stories to her friends. Now she is the author of more than eighty books for children published in the United States, Australia, Canada, and England. Her books have been honored as an American Library Association Notable Children's Book and a Junior Library Guild Selection. Vaughan lives on Vashon Island, Washington with her son, Sam, and husband, Richard, who is also an author. Contributor Bio: Farnsworth, Bill BILL FARNSWORTH is the illustrator of more than fifty children's books. His work includes images for the Kaya books in the American Girl Series, and he has received numerous awards and honors, including Notable Social Studies Trade Books for Young People, American Bookseller Pick of the Lists, and selection for the Society of Illustrator's Original Art Show.
