Francesca immediately brings us into the sights, smells and sounds of her beautiful, but subtly dangerous mid-21st century Italy. As she struggles with the growing danger and the changes in her personal life, Francesca is intrigued by her family stories with the threads of strength woven through their transcultural and transgenerational relationships. For her the people in the stories become her spiritual muse and rock of courage in her life. She generously offers to us the people of her family and their stories as we enthusiastically embrace them as our own and pull their presence into our hearts.
