Treasure the imaginative world of Anne Shirley with the first four re-packaged books in the Anne of Green Gables series, now available as a boxed set.

Publisher Marketing: Treasure the imaginative world of Anne Shirley with the first four artfully packaged books in the Anne of Green Gables series, now available as a collectible boxed set. Red-headed, big-hearted Anne Shirley is one of literature's most classic and beloved characters, and this four-book boxed set is the perfect way to cherish her adventures and her legacy. Each of the four included books features an artistically crafted cover, making this boxed set a wonderful gift and keepsake. "Anne of Green Gables" introduces orphan Anne Shirley as she first comes to Marilla and Matthew's home on Prince Edward Island. "Anne of Avonlea" chronicles Anne's misadventures as Avonlea's schoolteacher. "Anne of the Island" follows Anne as she sets out for Redmond College, and "Anne's House of Dreams" tells the story of Anne and Gilbert's new life together in Four Winds Harbor.

Contributor Bio:  Montgomery, Lucy Maud Montgomery completed her early education in Cavendish with the exception of one year (1890-1891) during which she was at Prince Albert with her father and her step-mother, Mary Ann McRae. In November 1890, while at Prince Albert, Montgomery had her first work published in the Charlottetown paper The Daily Patriot; a poem entitled "On Cape LeForce." She was as excited about this as she was about her return to her beloved Prince Edward Island in 1891. The return to Cavendish was a great relief to her. Her time in Prince Albert was unhappy due to the fact that Montgomery and McRae did not get along and because by, .".. Maud's account, her father's marriage was not a happy one."
