The former governor becomes the new king. The princess, her spouse and certain notables and some others go to exile in a neighbouring kingdom. After learning the atrocities that the new king is committing, the princess and his men, without waiting for Portuguese help, decide to attack. This military expedition will end by the capture of the princess. The king of the neighbouring kingdom will do everything to acquire the help from the king of Portugal. As soon as help arrives, the spouse of the princess with her men, attack and acquire the release of the princess which becomes the queen.
