Mitch Hammond has a problem. His wife and business partner Liza has developed a drinking problem, causing both their business and personal relationship to collapse. Mitch discovers Liza in bed with one of their clients. After separating from his wife, Mitch develops a drug problem. Jennifer, a single mom and her seven year old daughter Molly have managed to get along on their own for years, after Molly's biological father abandons them. Molly has only three wishes: that she have a normal family life, her mom finds someone to be happy with and a little brother or sister. This is a modern day drama about a group of friends in Los Angeles, who must leave their painful and destructive relationships behind, in order to start new ones.
