The Adventures of Little Vera Vera Udovychenko Anastasia Savchuk

These autobiographical stories recount the childhood of a mischievous and restlessly curious girl, whose life was as full of humorous misadventures as it was with the serious, sobering lessons typical of a post-war childhood in the Soviet Union. Simple and accessible to children, these tales offer a subtle exploration of such topics as spiritual life, interpersonal relationships, morality, and connections between humans and the natural world. They have been written with grade school and middle school children in mind.
