Life as an adoptee can be the best thing ever for some, and it can be a total nightmare for others. The feelings of abandonment and rejection, which often come with being adopted, can sometimes be overwhelming and cause a multitude of emotional and mental issues; including struggles with identity and detachment.

Poetry of Adoption is the debut book of poetry penned by teen author, Charity S. Snyder. Her work was inspired by writings she penned while learning to cope with life as an adoptee. It is her hope that this book will help other young people, especially adoptees, find peace amidst their struggles, and help them realize that they are not alone.
