Born in Tx, Patience was raised by her African-American mother and Caucasian father to be open-minded and accepting. And at twenty-two years of age, she dates white and black men. However, she is stunned by the prejudices she encounters from both sides. Accused of "acting white" by the black community and being "too black" for the white community, Patience stands at a fork in the road. Should she identify with only one race? Or can she embrace both cultures within, staying true to herself? Finally, will she ever find a love that is colorblind?
