The war in Northern Uganda has been branded, and rightly so, as one of Africa?s longest running conflicts. 1 The conflict lies between a rebel group known as Lord?s Resistance Army which is believed to be a continuation of Alice Lakwena?s Holy Spirit Movement and claims to be fighting to install the ?ten commandments? with the leader Joseph Kony claiming to be the spokesperson of the holy spirit. 2 The rebel group, though not having a clear political agenda claims to be fighting to instill peace and justice against the alleged suffering, injustice and brutality caused by the N. R. M government led by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. The war has witnessed some of the worst Human Rights violations manifested in killings, rape and abductions. It is actually estimated that an approximately 2 million people have been displaced and there has been immense disruption of health as well as education services.
