The Moon Catcher
Ila Ann Longley
A thousand years ago, the Man in the Moon went missing and the moon had wandered away. It had been prophesied that the moon would return and that someone would recapture the wayward orb and save the earth from vile nocturnal creatures seeking to annihilate mankind. Until such time, moon watchers have been keeping vigilance. Then one night, a young boy named Cat goes on his first moon watch with his father but things end badly. When Cat is left an orphan, he is raised by an irascible elder who helps prepare him for when the moon returns in order that he can fulfill his destiny. When news finally arrives that a new light has appeared in the sky, Cat embarks on a quest to recover the magical relics that will help him vanquish the demons, but in the end, he learns powerful truths about trust, love, greed, and the importance of finding your true path in life and staying the course.
