Former homicide detective Lolita Deal is reluctantly thrown into a murder investigation after she finds her former partner Jimmie Baker dead in a snow-covered alley. Lolita would rather spend time with Sally, her dog sitting in the tavern she owns drinking bourbon and feeling sorry for messing up her life.
