The story is set on the mid 1940s on a Hebridean island o- Scotland. Two words describe this book, love and dreams.
Two young children find themselves in a dilemma, living with their binge-drinking parents and the possibility of being taken into care. After reading about the happy-go-lucky children in an orphanage far away, they decided to leave home to seek it out. On their journey the children find themselves in a palace under Loch Ness - and there they release a trapped and chained monster. To repay their kindness the monster decides take them to the orphanage, in Odessa. It is a dangerous journey and would have many pitfalls. The monster hoped to meet up with an old friend - a very old dinosaur. The journey inspires great friendship and the greatest of sacrifice. The love between two children and a monster come-dinosaur, two species with vast differences, shows the world that love has no bounds.
