For thirteen-year-old Rapunzel Ramirez (Zel, for short), life is changing pretty fast. She's on her way to a new town where she'll start a new school with all sorts of new people. But, on the way, she gets a little sidetracked when she follows her old teddy bear into the woods and walks right into another world. A world of magic and adventure, of rare beasts and grave danger.
