The Paper Bridge - Experiential vs. Outdoor Training
Jd Roman
The author was part of the team of pioneers who in 1995 introduced Experiencial and Outdoor Training in Spain, through a project of awesome magnitude. In that project -so far the largest project of managerial change in Europe- were trained -in 18 languages- more than 20.000 persons from 21 countries. Ten years later, thanks to the impulse generated by that project, lots of companies dedicated to these methodologies and its variants have entered the market. But, what are we talking about, what can we say about those techniques, their foundations and their usefulness? Why are Outdoor and Experiencial sometimes opposed? Which activities do we recommend when looking for the best ratio cost/effectiveness?
