Georgia Mae Gasperson was born in Asheville, North Carolina in 1905. She became the wife of Cecil W. Wright in 1923 and later the mother of 7 children. She enjoyed collecting teapots. When her children traveled abroad ( her 2 sons in the Merchant Marines and the Army and her 5 daughters married to military husbands) they would purchase unique teapots from all over the world to add to her collection. They were the perfect gift because she cherished them so. She would number and label the bottom of each to keep them organized. Through the years some of these labels have worn or come off of her collection of over 300 teapots. These beautiful pieces are in safe keeping as a memorial to a special mother and grandmother who blessed the lives of her family. As a tribute to Georgia Mae, we invite you to admire Grandmother's Teapots.
