It tells about the journey of "Huck" Finn and his friend Jim, who are traveling on the Mississippi River on a raft. Huck is running away from his drunk and abusive father, while Jim is a runaway slave. As Huck and Jim drift down the river, they meet many new people and experience great adventures. Seeing that Jim is a good man, Huck is having an internal struggle and discomfort about what he was being taught: that helping a runaway slave is a sin.
