The Weasel Squadron

The Weasel Squadron chronicles the adventures of Major Tommy ?Poppy? Weasel and his two Marine Corps officer friends, Stout and Dobratz, from their helicopter training through the Grenada Invasion. The story picks up again after their retirement, when they are asked by General Irons to go undercover on a top secret mission to the country of Flatistan to help rescue American hostages. The mission is extremely dangerous because Flatistan is run by the ruthless dictator Mumu Kolache and his two sons Adolf and Pol Pot. Meanwhile, in Flatistan, the hostages play an exhibition lacrosse game against the guards and the guards cause serious intentional injury to the hostages. Kolache plans to put the hostages on trial as spies then sentence them to death by stoning. Poppy and his team rescue the hostages, then the hostages sneak off to steal the gold that a drunken guard told them was hidden in the royal palace. The adventures of Poppy, Stout, and Dobratz were made into a television series called Pop Goes the Weasel. The series was parodied in a movie called The Squeaky Weasel Squadron.
