The House of the Vampire

George Sylvester Viereck was a German/American poet, writer, and propagandist. Viereck became a well-known Nazi apologist. He was indicted for a violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act in 1941 for establishing his publishing house, Flanders Hall. In 1942 he was imprisoned for five years. The House of the Vampire (1907) is one of the first gay vampire books. It is the first psychic vampire story -- where a vampire feeds off of more than just blood.
