Contributor Bio:  Stewart, Thomas Dr. Thomas Stewart is an Assistant Professor of Academic Advising at Kutztown University. He serves as an advisor to a caseload of 125 undeclared students and is the Director of the Developmental Summer Program where students take courses in developmental Math, English, and College Success. He is the Liaison to Student Support Service and Upward Bound Programs. Prior to this role, Dr. Stewart was the Department Chair of the Department of Development Studies from 1998-2002. He has a Ph. D. in Curriculum and Instruction, Language and Literacy Education from The Pennsylvania State University, and an MA in English from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. He has published numerous articles and made several presentations at national conferences.
