Feminist Fright

KAREN KELLOCK ON SOCIAL PSYCH: FEMINIST FRIGHT. If you're too accessible they'll make your life miserable. Patience is a fruit of the spirit that only grows under trial. That's why we went through all that, for style. God was with me all the way as I endured my lessons. They were hard ones but had to be learned to overcome. How else would I learn how mean, spiteful, status-driven, competitive, catty and cruel they were? I had to endure. But from my own sisters? Are you kidding me? That's one of the hardest lessons of life, unfortunately. He was predatory--that's why it hurt so much having him around: it was like a big black grabby cloud. It's the same with the women--they always got something up their sleeve. They won't leave it alone, so leave. They won't just leave ya' alone to think for a change, oh no they gotta bring stuff up to bash/disparage. They won't shut up. On and on they go, terrified of silence ya know--hens going for recognition below. As a sheltered sweetheart I assumed all were good. I had to get hurt repeatedly then I finally understood. I had to understand what the men do: that life is a war and you gotta keep OUT the gore not invite in more.
